History
Ile aux Cerfs island, Known in English as the deer island is an island near the east coast of Mauritius in the Flacq district.
It was once populated with deer imported from Java and hence the name. This is the best island of Mauritius which constitutes around 100 hectares of land. Bountiful with the beauty of the clear water, green land natural waterfalls. Nowadays there are no more deer on the island, but you will find there some of the world's most beautiful beaches, and as such it is one of the must places to visit and see in Mauritius. Ile Aux Cerfs is famous for its sandy beaches, beautiful lagoon, and a big selection of activities and facilities. In Ile Aux Cerfs you are sure to have a day of relaxation and fun on one of the picture-postcard beaches and enjoy a swim and snorkeling in the lagoon. Ile aux Cerfs is well known because of its famous Golf Course which offers a splendid view over the Indian Ocean, and Its white sandy beaches which attract a large number of people. The Island is the perfect spot for water activities and all the necessary facilities are available. There are restaurants on the island that cater to almost every palate. Try some of the local cuisine. In addition, there are water sports kiosks along certain parts of Ile aux Cerfs Beach. You can get in some great snorkeling here because there are large, black rocks that protrude into the water making an ideal place for coral and fish to hang out.
Its take less than 20 minutes to arrive at ile aux cerfs in speedboats from Trou d'eau douce, ile aux cerfs is only accessible by boat.

G.R.S.E Waterfall
G.R.S.E. Waterfall - The Grand South-Eastern River is the longest river in Mauritius. The river ends up with a beautiful waterfall which is accessible by boat. The speed boat will take you along the east coast and then upstream the Grand River for an incredible view of the Grand River South-East Waterfalls. Once there, you will enjoy the view of the waterfalls. You could also admire the wild vegetation which takes root on the banks. G.R.S.E water is situated at Grand River South East in the District of Flacq it takes about 30 min to reach the G.R.S.E Waterfall by speedboat from Trou D'eau Douce.
